Abstract
The analysis of blood flow during arterial catheterization (a procedure that widens arteries by a balloon when there is mild stenosis), where MHD Newtonian fluid is used to represent blood. The problem is solved using the approximation of mild stenosis. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the porous artery. Suitable mathematical methods are used to create and evaluate a mathematical model. The finite difference method is used to solve the dimensionless governing coupled non-linear partial differential equations numerically. This study provides a scope for estimating the influence of the problem parameters on different flow characteristics and to determine which of the parameters has the most dominating role. Because it has direct applications in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, the study of the aforementioned model is very important.
