Abstract
This study investigates the nonlinear characteristics of quantum acoustic waves (QAWs) in a multi-component plasma composed of electrons, positrons, and ions. By applying the reductive perturbation method (RPM), a Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation is derived to model the evolution of weakly nonlinear QAWs. Dynamical system theory is employed to carry out a bifurcation analysis, confirming the presence of both periodic and solitary waves in the governing model. As a direct result, a series of periodic and solitary waves is formally constructed by employing the Jacobi elliptic function method. The analysis distinguishes the roles of the governing plasma parameters: the ion-to-electron Fermi-temperature ratio and the positron-to-ion density ratio modify the nonlinear and dispersive balance, whereas the quantum diffraction parameter enters only the dispersive coefficient and therefore changes the wave width without directly affecting its amplitude. The results provide a unified, parameter-resolved description of solitary QAWs and may serve as analytical benchmarks for dense astrophysical and laser-produced plasma models.
